Servants of the Cross is a Registered Charity in Canada. We are a Roman Catholic religious community which provides various programs to promote the Catholic faith. Our office is located at 33 Aurora Crescent, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Our website address is: https://servantsofthecross.ca.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Servants of the Cross collects personally identifiable information such as your email address, name, home/work address, and/or telephone number.
We also automatically collect information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by servantsofthecross.ca including your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, and referring website addresses.
Please note that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through our Live Chat / Callback / SMS or Email widget, this information is collected and stored for the prevention of abuse and the safety and protection of vulnerable persons as per our Plan to Protect ® Policy.
We use the information we collect for the operation of our ministries, to maintain quality of service, and to provide general statistics regarding the use of our website. We also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products, services, or events available through Servants of the Cross. Additionally, Servants of the Cross may also contact you via email and electronic surveys to conduct research regarding your opinion or experience of current services or of potential new services that may be offered in the future.

Servants of the Cross secures your personal information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Servants of the Cross secures the personally identifiable information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. Vulnerable Sector
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 18, nor do we knowingly distribute such information. We will obtain prior, verifiable parental consent before collecting any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personally identifiable information from someone under the age of 18, we will keep the information perpetually as per our Plan to Protect ® Policy.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us.
